The ‘next step’ in MultiCross-Platform Multiplayer gaming explained

BANG!, the Spaghetti Western board game is coming to Apple iPhone, iPad HD, iPod Touch, Atom Netbook and PC in December.

Already a massive selling board game, BANG! The Official Videogame allows users – whether they have an iPhone, iPad HD, iPod Touch, Atom Netbook or PC – to play this exciting interactive board game together collectively, no matter what device or machine it is played on, creating the world’s first truly interactive multiplayer experience.

Daniele Azara, Production Director of Italian production company Palzoun said, “The MultiCross-Platform Multiplayer feature of BANG! is a very important milestone. BANG! will, for the first time, allow players who each own a standalone platform to play the same game together. For this, we have adopted a new but familiar definition which links the well known concepts of ‘multi-format’ with ‘cross-platform’ functionality. Aside from this revolutionary advancement, BANG! is a fantastic board game that will appeal to gamers and even those who don’t usually play these games but fancy trying something different. Giovanni Caturano, President and CEO of SpinVector, the Italian developer of BANG! said, “Our MultiCross-Platform Multiplayer technology means that of course we have created multiple versions of our code and content, one for each platform. All versions have been optimised and re-designed but the key is that they all ‘talk’ together. Obviously, each platform has different capabilities (e.g. high definition graphics, touch-screen etc) and therefore there are small design differences, but overall the game is represented in exactly the same way across each version, ensuring players get the same multiplayer experience regardless of whichever platform BANG! is played on.”

“Born to a poor Mother and Father in a Mexican village, José always knew there was more to life. BANG! The Spaghetti Western videogame launches new trailer – tumbleweed, dust and gunfights!

New live action launch trailer unveiled

BANG!, the Spaghetti Western board game coming to Apple iPhone, iPad HD, iPod Touch, Atom Netbook and PC, fires from the hip with its brand new, live action trailer.

The film, inspired by Spaghetti Western movie director legend Sergio Leone, sees the Outlaws take on the Sheriff and his Deputies in a fight to the death! But the Sheriff and his Posse are not what you’d expect…

Filmed on location outside of Rome, Italy, by games publisher Palzoun, the BANG! launch trailer sets the scene for players to take each other on with the world’s first MultiCross-platform Multiplayer game where quick fire reactions, cunning and wits can make the difference between winning the day or pushing up daisies on Boot Hill!

BANG! – CALAMITY JANET – the Beautiful Sharp Shooter

Born into a poor farming family in Princetown, Missouri, Janet learned to fend for herself from an early age. At 6 years old, her Mother and Father died in a freak yachting accident leaving Janet to look after her 12 brothers, where she managed to keep order with a gun and a smile! After she left home, Calamity Janet tried her hand at a variety of jobs, including Head Cook at Fort Larry where she earned her nickname for her unique take on “home cooking”, but after one insult too many, she left to seek her fortune in the Wild West.

As fast with her gun as she is with her wits, who knows what job she’ll do next!

Nata da una famiglia povera di agricoltori a Princetown, in Missouri, Janet ha imparato a difendersi da sola fin da piccola. All’età di sei anni, il padre e la madre perirono in un curioso naufragio lasciando Janet a badare ai suoi dodici fratelli, un buona scuola per mantenere l’ordine con pistola e sorriso! Dopo aver lasciato casa, Calamity Janet ha provato a fare diversi lavori, incluso il capo cuoco a Fort Larry – dove ha guadagnato il proprio soprannome grazie alle sue …calamitose performance culinarie – ma dopo un insulto di troppo decise di andarsene per cercare fortuna nel Selvaggio West.
